Leah and Clayton were married May 29, 2010 in St. Cloud. After the ceremony, they took pictures at the wonderful Munsinger Gardens. They then let loose and went to Rollie’s Rednecks & Longnecks where they rode the bull!

Kate and Glen were married at the beautiful Superior Shores resort on May 22, 2010

Congratulations to Erin and Mark who were married on April 10th. Their reception was at the Art Center in Rochester.

This couple chose to have their engagement session done at the Como Conservatory. Since the weather and scenery outside is less than appealing this time of year, the Conservatory is a great alternative to get some beautiful images. The couple’s personality is showing with true smiles and fun poses. Congratulations to Kayla and Zach!!

Breanna O’Brien and Tim Wiley got married January 2nd exactly 2 years from their first date.  They rang in the new year with friends and family braving the -20ish weather.

For obvious reasons, they didn’t want any outside pictures. We did get a lot of beautiful and fun pictures inside the church and at the reception.

Congratulations Breanna and Tim.  We wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Engagement Sessions

What do you do when the calendar only lets you reschedule your engagement session so many times?  Go to the Conservatory.

The original engagement session was scheduled for Down Town St. Paul.  This is a meaningful place for them, and a great location to capture their excitement to get married.  But the photographer got H1N1 and had to reschedule.

With only a few weeks left before Christmas and the bride wanting to use these images for Holiday Cards, the engagement session needed to get done ASAP.  However, on the day of the newly scheduled shoot, a blizzard hit and an outside shoot wasn’t likely.  So we went to the Conservatory at the Como Park in St Paul.  We got beautiful tropical pictures while it was -15 wind chill outside and even spent a few moments outside before the bride and camera froze.

The lesson here is that it’s important to be flexible and trust the experience of the professional.  Although the images weren’t downtown St Paul, the bride and groom were delighted with the images and no one suffered any frost bite.

With engagement sessions or weddings, you hire a professional because of their ability to capture the moment but also their experience to handle what ever comes their way.

Once again Bella Photography will be taking portraits at the New Years Eve Ball at the Fargo Holiday Inn.  Guests will enjoy an evening of dinner, dance and beverages and as a special memento; everyone will go home with a picture which is taken and printed on site that evening.
